MIDI editing doesn't really seem that good. Also, the LE seems to allow you get upgrade for the same price as buying the full version, so that might also be a good route to take. Not at all saying it's a bad product, just indicating that spending a lot of time with the demo before deciding to purchase this product is a great idea. Was hoping this would be a helpful tool in my workflow, but the current state has me put off. The "layer"-style of changing MIDI data (which is basically just stacking of MIDI-plugins, but allows the plugin to reach into the MIDI data) is great. The non-destructive editing is a great idea, and it does seem to work to some degree. Some of the concepts are really awesome, tho. There doesn't seem to be much of either of those for this product. I would've expected a learning curve with the software, as with any software, but usually when I'm stuck there's a community or documentation to turn to. Should have tested the demo for a while longer.

It lacks documentation (the incredibly sparse documentation on the website is packaged as a fourteen page PDF with the installer, 4 pages are version history, introduction and installation), has numerous visible bugs in the interface, VST support is a joke. Unfortunately it seems like a product which should be a 0.7 version and not a 1.4.

I downloaded the demo and purchased a full version some minutes later, because I was thoroughly enchanted by the idea. The full version costs $295 so I am wondering if it is significantly better than Cubase in it's midi editing, because Cubase Studio costs the same.ĭisclaimer: I've only used the product for a couple of hours.
